CINCINNATI, Ohio and LOS ANGELES, May 11, 2021 – The Soccer Association for Youth USA (“SAY Soccer”) has teamed up with MOJO, the breakthrough youth sports mobile app, to rejuvenate recreation soccer across the United States.
Los Angeles-based MOJO puts the magic back into youth sports by providing coaches, parents, leagues and teams with a one-stop coach-in-a-box mobile app that takes the stress and chaos out of coaching. SAY Soccer clubs, coaches and parents will be able to access the MOJO app, which features exclusive short-form videos customized to age and skill level and one-touch tools to plan fun and engaging practices.
SAY Soccer, with more than 100,000 soccer players in the United States, is recognized as one of the leaders for recreation sports. As more teams return to play in 2021, SAY Soccer and MOJO are working together to enrich and improve the grassroots soccer experience with cutting edge technology and world-class educational content developed by top coaches, experts and elite athletes.
“The storytelling and technology that MOJO has brought to youth soccer will be a game-changer for our membership,” said Doug Wood, National Executive Director of SAY Soccer. “Our goal is to deliver soccer in a fun and safe environment, and we believe that MOJO’s easy-to-use mobile app will give our coaches everything they need throughout the season.”
“We are excited to help SAY Soccer families across the country get back out on the field to enjoy their best season ever,” said Ben Sherwood, founder and CEO of MOJO. “MOJO makes coaching easier for parents, playing more fun for kids, and the whole experience more magical for everyone,” added Sherwood, former co-chairman of the Disney Media Networks who also coached his two sons in four sports.
The new partnership with SAY Soccer complements MOJO’s existing partnership with US Youth Soccer, the largest youth sport organization in the United States. In the months ahead, MOJO will expand its strategic relationships with other leading youth sports organizations, clubs and teams in a variety of sports in the U.S. and around the world.
MOJO is available for download on iOS and Android. Basic access is free for parent-coaches with a premium tier, MOJO+, available for an annual fee of $19.99.
MOJO is on a mission to make youth sports more fun for everyone – one kid, one coach, one team at a time. Launched in February 2021, MOJO is a robust digital platform that empowers parents who coach youth sports to bring world-class training to the largest pool of players in the world – kids aged 13 and under. MOJO believes that youth sports has the power to transform lives, not just for the kids on the field but the coaches and parents on the sidelines. MOJO is committed to equity, inclusion and helping to level the playing field for kids everywhere. For more information, visit www.mojo.sport.
