When Reed Shaffner and I launched MOJO in 2021, we always looked at TeamSnap as the leader and pioneer in the youth sports team management space. After all, TeamSnap has more than 25 million registered users. And when my son started playing organized sports around 2010, I used TeamSnap as a coach and parent. From the beginning, TeamSnap set the standard. 

And MOJO wanted to make it even better.

MOJO began as a small team of designers, producers, and engineers with a profoundly simple idea — let’s make youth sports fun again. Since then we’ve won accolades — a Webby for best sports app in 2021, one of Fast Company’s Brands that Matter in 2022, followed by one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies of 2023 — and, more importantly, helped more than 5 million of you get back to the best part of youth sports: the fun and games. I couldn’t be more proud of that.

A few months ago, we began to talk seriously with TeamSnap about joining forces to redefine the relationship between youth sports and technology. Together, we believe MOJO and TeamSnap have a truly unbeatable tool set. TeamSnap has incomparable reach, with some 2M+ daily active users. They work with more than 19,000 sports organizations, and support more than 100 different sports and activities. (Scouting, anyone?) Take that, and add the best that MOJO has to offer — our award-winning library of games, drills and session plans from the best leagues in the US and the world, leading-edge interactive multimedia features. It means a whole new world of tools and resources and priceless memories for families and fans — at practice, at games, and off the field. 

Today, we’re flaunting a new name and logo. This upcoming season, whether you use MOJO as a parent or coach or club administrator, your experience will be seamless. In the seasons to come, we’ll further integrate our two brands and give you all the tools you need for a truly unforgettable season.

MOJO is still here to transform youth sports for the better and to give coaches, players and families everything they need to make memories that last a lifetime. We’re here to fill that fleeting window of youth sports — roughly kindergarten through high school — with the very best, most hilarious, most heartbreaking, most meaningful moments. And with TeamSnap, we’re going to do it at a whole new level and scale.
